QWIIC ENDPOINT - No Differential comunication

Hello All,

I’m using, for the first time, a Differential I2C Breakout board to test a circuit.

I have an I2C controller for a led Bar. I’m connecting the signals from the controller to a Qwiic Endpoint Breakout board and on the other side from the Qwiic endpoint board to the Led bar as presented on the image attached.

I can see the I2C signals on the input board but on the other side, there is nothing. On both boards, the PWR LED is on.

I haven’t changed any jumper configuration since I only have 2 endpoints and am supplying the board with 3v3.

Any idea about what am I missing here?

Thanks.

Best Regards,

BD

The endpoints are just that - the termination point of the bus.

Based on your wiring schematic, it looks like maybe you need 2x midpoint buses instead?

Thanks for the reply.

Since the purpose was to allow a greater distance between two devices on an I2C bus, why would I need the midpoint? I only have two devices on the bus and I assume that I would need midpoints if I wanted to add additional devices on the middle of the bus? Is this incorrect?

Thanks.
