Data aquisition and current/voltage monitoring

Hi all,

I’m new to the embedded world so forgive me if this idea is novice.

I wonder if the Adurino would be a good platform on which to develop a test set that would allow the monitoring of as many as 25 “tip and ring” pair phone lines on a telco “66 block” punch down block for current and voltage with Ethernet conectivity to allow for NTP time stamp precision as well as remote monitoring and logging of line of the I and E metrics for historical record. Can anyone comment on the fisability? This device might be analigous to a telco “line logger” or other high priced data aquisition device.

Thanks,

I would suggest something with a bit more power. LPC has a nice range of ARMs with builtin ethernet connectivity.
