The anemometer works flawlessly, as does the rain gauge. I, like so many others it seems, have a defective wind vane. The readings are sporadic and seem to be all over the place. Its connected to a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W powered by a 5v 3a power supply via an MCP3008 with 3.3v and a 4.7k resistor. (as reccomended by Raspberry Pi, and the power divider math). I tried using a different channel on the MCP3008 to make sure there wasnt an issue with the chip. Even popped in another brand new MCP3008 just to make sure.
East, for example, reads between 0.4-0.6, and then will read 2.1-2.2. According to the data sheet (after doing the power divider math) should be 2.7v. In fact, North reads between 2.7-3.0 which should read 0.4. West reads 3.0-3.3 when it should be reading 0.1. South seems to be the closest, reading 1.3-1.6 when it should be 1.8. (all numbers are volts).
