Deleting stuff from Eagle libraries?

I’ve created a bunch of custom libraries for parts. But how do I delete these extra packages and/or devices from them? I can’t seem to find a way! It’s annoying when you copy one or two symbols for new devices but you also get the packages and devices cluttering up your library…

Thanks,

Ray

the only way i’ve found to do it is very slow, tedious, time consuming (you get the drift right?)

you have to open each ‘package’, ‘device’ or ‘symbol’ and then use the remove command

I type it rather than all that clicking:

remove packagename

remove symbolname

you type in the little empty white box just under the toolbar

if you don’t open the package, etc, first, and try to remove - it’ll say not found.

BUT all hope is not lost. If you’re not running 4.15 yet, upgrade. Now you can drag and drop the parts you’ve made or customized into new empty libraries, leaving behind all the unneeded junk.
