Depth Sensors for Surface Mapping

Hi,

I am looking to use a depth sensor to map a stationary 12x18 inch surface to within 0.1mm accuracy. The depth sensor can be placed at whatever distance is optimal for the measurement.

I see a variety of depth sensors available but they are all meant to be used with some sort of VOI/SLAM room mapping application. Does anyone have any experience using one with my application that can meet the accuracy requirement?

TIA,

Jordan

For your application, a laser triangulation sensor like the Keyence LJ-V7000 series is likely the best choice due to its high accuracy and precision.
