Detect connected servo

Hi forum,

I was wondering if it was possible to programmatically detect if a servo is connected to the Sparkfun Servo hat?

I don’t believe so, the servo doesn’t send any kind of status information back to the host so you won’t be able to detect if it’s there or not.

I did wonder that, but then thought there might be something clever that could be done like checking for resistance…assuming that the necessary bits were on the HAT.
