DIY Plated thru holes

I make a huge amount of prototypes for the work I do. Most will be one offs for testing ideas. Having been turned on to the hot plate technique, I wonder if there is better way to join the top and bottom traces than just lacing a thin tinned wire through them. The holes are small so eyelets won’t work. Any good ideas out there?

Oh, I use Eagle for the layouts. This brings up a second question…Is there a way to make the trace widths smaller? .010 is the thinnest it appears one can go, but is there a way to change that?

“homemade” PTH is a possible but not without a ton of effort. Look here http://www.thinktink.com/stack/volumes/ … ondink.htm for more info.

in eagle you can enter any value you want for the line width - just highlight the number in the box and type something different.

Don’t forget to hit ENTER. Sounds stupid, but it took me a while to figure this out, for some reason…
