DRC Problems

I am trying to upload a file to BatchPCB and it keeps failing the DRC check. However, this PCB passes my DRC check fine. I use PowerPCB.

The strange thing is the pictures I get back have large circles in a number of places. Some are causing the DRC errors. These circles do not show up in my gerber view (GC Prevue) or the one suggested by batchPCB VieMate 9.6.

Does anyone know what could cause this?

Here is the drc picture returned.

The via is failing with that big non-existant circle.

Here is a screen shot from ViewMate

Not your fault - its yet another DRC bot bug. I’ve got a copy of your design in the system, I’ll see whats up.

Bot bugs rule …MAN.!!!

I don’t know…just felt great to say.

Your never going to get that thing finished huh? An evolutionary step in the making.

Its more that the gerber file format is so ill defined that the writing to the standard was essentially useless.

Anyhow, I fix bugs as I see em… there aren’t too many these days besides not polygonizing multi-traced pads [on the list], and this new curve one.

Even though it may seem like theres a lot of issues, the new bot is infinitely better than the old, as it actually passes most correct designs ;).

Hey…I can’t complain…Spark Fun/ Batch PCB has been the best thing for me since sliced bread.

You just keep working on it…you’ll have it finished (totally) about the time the group decides to change systems. (it always seems that way)

I actually like the latest revision of the system…it is much better than the earlier. I’m not sure all the changes…but it gives me a pretty picture of what the board should look like. (that is a plus)

Keep up the good work…I’ll order more. (as you are starting to see.)
