Dualshock 4 pairing with RN42

Hi, im trying to pair my dualshock with my bluesmirf silver that supports hid, but when i use the command “C,”( i obtained the DS4 bt addres with the “I” command) the bluesmirf fails when it tries to pair with the DS4…

It tried all the ways…i set up the hid profile, changed the mode to slave, master, auto…etc…but nothing to do

I dont really want to use the usb shield method to use the ds4 with the arduino, so how can i pair the ds4 with the RN42?

Thanks for the answers!

Hi Jarvis42,

Unfortunately, that is not something SparkFun’s Tech Support can help with as it’s beyond the scope of our support. Other users may have some suggestions here, though. My guess is something with the firmware on the Dualshock 4 is blocking pairing with the RN-42. The [Command Reference Guide might have some information you need. Roving Networks was purchased by Microchip Technologies so you may want to take a look at their [Support Page and see if you can find anything there. Otherwise, you may need to search around for a tutorial or other forum that focuses on customizing/hacking Playstation or other game console hardware for help.](Microchip Lightning Support)](https://cdn.sparkfun.com/datasheets/Wireless/Bluetooth/bluetooth_cr_UG-v1.0r.pdf)
