hi… im fairly new to PCB design. I have an existing PCB design of a Chipcon 1010. I have to change a header in the PCB as the GPS im using with this board has requires a different header. Is it possible to just update the PCB or do I have to start designing frm scratch (which would be a real headache cause I dont want to mess with the polygon planes and design.

The Pulsonix PCB software I use can import Gerber files, enabling the PCB to be modified without access to the original PCB files.

FreePCB does similar… it even opens and edits PCBs even if the computer I’m working on doesn’t have the same parts in its library. Although this is with it’s file format. I don’t know about importing gerbers, but I thnk it’s do-able. Also free.
