Eagle CAD and multiple page schematics

Does anyone have a document that describes how to create a complete schematic across several pages in Eagle Cad and then have it make one composite board?

I have searched the docs that came with Eagle but found nothing.

Thanks in advance

Well to answer the question from me, no…

But if you wanna tell us what your having problems with, we can try and help you out!

Have you tried the CADsoft forum?

Are you using the Freeware version? There are restrictions.

I am running 5.10 Pro. and I have a schematic that is too complex to fit into a

  1. x 8.5 (“A” format) page. Somewhere I saw a tutorial on how to make a schematic span multiple pages and still produce one board from all of the schematic pages. It is likely to take at least 4 pages to produce this schematic.

Thanks

returns

which looks promising

I hate search engines I either find nothing or so many that I find nothing… geeze

anyhow thanks guys… let me try some of this stuff now

Theres nothing to it, right click on the “Sheets” pane in the schematic editor a select “New” in the context menu.

Create a schematic as you would on a single page…

Just be aware that when you copy things, EAGLE will give the pasted items consecutive names, ie. nets…

Well it wasnt just starting another page… I have done tha. My problem is … to be specific, when I have a wire that leaves one page and is picked up on one or more of the other pages ( I have 7 pages in my schematic) and then when you tell it to make a board it was only including one of the schematic pages. I could not figure out why. So now I am on the track to fixing that and will be testing it tonight.

thanks

I’ve never seen that behavior from Eagle.

Note that the nets must be named to cross sheets.

Yeah, that's not right at all. Contact Cadsoft about that, more so if you have bought a non-freeware liecensed version.
