I’m teaching myself Eagle using 7.6.0 and “Make your own PCBs with EAGLE” by Simon Monk, but I’m stuck on page 71.
Following the text I add a complex component (like HD44780 or atmega32u2) to my schematic and try to rotate but it does nothing except beeping at me. I can add and rotate a simple component like a resistor no problem.
What am I missing?

EDIT: to answer my own question: I found if I put the mouse on the tiny little centering mark for the complex component it rotates as expected. So a dumb question from a newbie maybe, but it would be nice if Simon mentioned this in his book
