EagleCAD xml library file format description

Hello,

First of all, thanks in advance for any help on this question.

I know that EagleCAD .lib files use an XML format. Basically, my question is, does anyone know of a document or something similar that describes this format in detail?

The reason is that I am interested in creating tools to work with these files.

Open it up. It’s easy to understand.

There are symbols, packages and devices (labeled as “devicesets” in the XML), each in their own section, each with all the information and drawings you’ve done inside.
