ENC28J60 Schematic

I want to build a ENC28J60 board. The problem comes in the schematic:

Wich value has L1???

I already know that R2 depends of chip revision.

If anyone can help me… THANKS!!!

Have you tried the ENC28J60 docs?

Of course, only that says is:

Ferrite Bead should be rated for at least 80 mA.

Thanks for your answer.

That’s all you need to know. It’s just a ferrite bead with a wire through it, you can make it yourself or buy an SMD one. It’s only an EMI filter circuit, it will work OK without it.

Leon

Sorry, but I don’t know so much about electronic so I’ll buy it. I need to know henries, don’t I?

Thank you very, very much.

The inductance isn’t relevant. Just use a ferrite bead with a wire through it.

Hi!

I’m using this: http://parts.digikey.com/1/parts/121287 … 79267.html

Works perfectly with the ENC28J60 in my project.

Peter

I can’t stand how some people use an inductor symbol for ferrite beads. Stupid.

At work we have debated what the schematic symbol for a ferrite bead should be. In our CAD library we have symbols that look like an inductor, a rectangle with pins and a inductor and resistor in series inside a rectangle. Modeling a ferrite bead in spice it’ll look like an inductor and resistor in series.

What are your recommendations for a schematic symbol for a ferrite bead?

I don’t seem to have one in my CAD library. If I create one I’ll probably use an inductor symbol with FB as the part name. Another one I’ve seen is a rectangle at 45 degrees, which might be better, as it looks a bit like the component.

Leon

lol i use a resistor symbol and label em FBx

same footprint so it was logical and quick.
