Question: Can you please confirm the ESP32-C3 IC revision of this module?

Background:

Espressif has included an inbuild USBSerial/JTAG module starting from revision 3 of the IC. Although revisions 1 and 2 didn’t have this peripheral.

The datasheet attached also mentions IO18/19 as USB D+/D-, which means we can simply connect these two pins to a USB connector.

so it will help us a lot if you could confirm the revision of ESP32-C3 IC and if it is not C3-Rev3 the please update the datasheet to get rid of this confusion

Yes - It uses a ESP32-C3-WROOM-02-N4 :smiley:

Thank you for your reply, but it doesn’t answer my question.

I need a confirmation on ESP32-C3 IC Revision because only Revision 3 and newer has internal USB Serial/JTAG peripheral.

The very first note on this page says

“Debugging through the USB interface implemented in ESP32-C3 requires to have a chip with revision 3 or newer…”

ESP32-C3-WROOM-02-N4 can also be found with Revision 1 or 2 IC. it doesn’t clear anything.

Unfortunately we don’t know if the stock we have is revision 1 or revision 2. :frowning:
