FORCE SENSE RESISTORS - FALSE TRIGGERING

I’m using several force sense resistors (see link below) with a light glass plate on top of them. They are giving me false triggers such that before I even tap on the glass plate they sporadically give me false triggers every few minutes or so. They should only be firing when I tap on the glass plate.

I’m using two sets of 2ea fsr’s wired in parallel for a total of four fsr’s holding up the glass plate.

The fsr’s are all on a flat surface w/ a lightweight flat glass plate resting on top of them. Is there maybe some kind of electrical noise occurring? Do I need a resistor or ferrite cores or something else to mitigate it? Please let me know how to eliminate these false triggers.

I’d be curious to see if the false triggers are reduced if you load the plate with a few hundred grams of deadload.

This will get the FSRs into the more linear portion of their response curves.
