The FTDI crossover PCB has several errors even though its simplicity…

Pin 6 is marked as DTR whereas FTDI uses it for RTS.

Pin 6 is an output and should not drive pin 6 on other port…

Instead Pin 6 and Pin 2 should be another crossover meaning RTS->CTS and CTS<-RTS. This enables flow control as per COM0COM sw.

Thanks for pointing that out - file an issue here https://github.com/sparkfun/FTDI_Basic_ … -5V/issues and the engineering team should eb made aware (I’m guessing no one has looked at that design in a long time!)
