GPS-car

Here a short video of my GPS-rover. It is based on a 1/10 scale RC-car. Controller is a nucleo board from STM, with a F401 µ processor. GPS is a Ublox M8N, the gyro / compass is a MPU9250. For visual indication, a WS2812 Led strip is used. A standard Transmitter on the 35 MHz is used for teaching way points and set the speed. The accuracy of the GPS is about +/-1 meter when free sight is available. With buildings / trees nearby, I drops to +/- 3 meter.

Greetings from Belgium !

Good job! Consider entering your rover in the Sparkfun AVC contest: https://avc.sparkfun.com/

As a matter of fact, the video’s of this contest inspired me to make this rover ! If it was not so far, I certainly would join the competition. For the moment, I have a competion on my own : how fast and accurate can you go with this rover ? The stock-speed of this RC -car is 30 km/h, for now I am reaching speeds of about 10 km/h with acceptable accuracy. So still much to do !!
