help, h2294 seens to be sick...

Hello,

My Olimex H2294 recently arrived. Upon the installation of the FTDI232BM virtual com port driver I was able to connect the unit to the PC and the following message appeared on hyperterminal:

SRAM Write

SRAM Write Pass

SRAM Address Bus Verify

SRAM Adderss Bus Verify Pass

SRAM Data Bus Verify

SRAM Data Bus Verify Pass

*** Flash Tests ***

Read manufacturer

Intel flash device is find

Read type of chip

Unknow type flash device is find 0x88c4

Unknow type flash device is find. Test fault *** UART Tests ***

Press key ‘1’

Does this mean that the flash memory is toast?

no, this means that probably the code left in the memory doesn’t match the flash type - we have several Flash memories used and they all have different IDs

there are several tests which are performed on the boards during different stage of the manufacturing

Thanks. But what are the implications of this message? How can I get rid of it? Or this still means that the unit is working just fine?

just load your own code in the LPC memory and you will get rid of this code :slight_smile:
