How to connect XBee with Arduino Pro Mini?

Hi all,

I’m using XBee (1mW) with Arduini Pro Mini, and using a 12V battery to get 3.3V after regulation. I found as long as the XBee is connected, I cannot get a 3.3V to make the chips work. I can only get about 2V.

Anyone has any suggestions to share? Thanks a lot.

Maybe my question should be changed to: how to connect XBee with Arduino Pro Mini? I just now realized I’m using this figure but it may be wrong as the Arduino chip here is using 5V power.

I’m trying to send some data from Arduino Pro Mini to XBee, so can I connect the Tx in Arduino to the DIn in XBee directly?
