Howtos for getting started with NTRIP/RTK Base determination (UK)

Hi,

The RTK kit looks awesome. Does anyone know of any howtos for a hobbyist, to get started with public NTRIP type server error correction? ie correcting a rover to a known base coordinate (assume nearby, within 50 miles or better)

Sub question: In the UK, does anyone know any guides for making use of public error correction services (NTRIP or otherwise) - especially of interest would be the UK Gov Ordnance Survey RINEX services?

I’ve found a lot of low level resources like the OS stuff, but not much in the way of a quick starter or introduction on how to start using this stuff. Even my understanding of NTRIP vs RINEX vs ??? is weak.

Cheers, Tim

We have several tutorials/guides on how to get most flavors going, check out https://www.sparkfun.com/search/results?term=ntrip (one containing ‘NTRIP’) or https://www.sparkfun.com/search/results?term=rinex (‘RINEX’)…poking through those should help elucidate things

Cool - thanks :+1:

I will read through those now… I’m interested in this for personal landscaping reasons - as it’s affordable, it looks rather attractive.

All the best, Tim
