IMU-Mixer (v1_2) leads to system crash !

My computer crashes and reboots when pressing “connect to IMU” on the IMU mixer.

I got a 6 DOF sensor connected via bluetooth (USB) to the computer. and looks comunicating nd working fine.

IMU mixer is runing and set to com 4 .

the computer is a new dual core pc, fresh WinXP installed, and no other aplicaions instaled on it, except for the blutooth drivers, and the imu mixer.

when pressing “connect to IMU” , the computer goes black and re boots.

any one knows of any posiable reasons ?

1st off, enable blue screen of death on fatal errors…

goto control panel / system /advanced and recovery options…

and set the halt on error so you get the blue screen.

im not familiar with what kind of driver it uses…

is it using an FTDI chip for USB comms?

probably!!

then its an FTDI driver problem.

goto www.ftdichip.com website and run the uninstall utility.

then reinstall the driver for your imu board.

thats only if you get an error with FTDI buswhatever.dll

hope that helps…
