@Andrew74 - Your Tool worked perfectly in combination with the RTK Torch and SW Maps. I had searched for a pin 5 times before based on tape measures, SW Maps & Torch distances, and just couldnât find it. Too much waste metal in the ground to make metal detector worthy.
I found several more pins thanks to your tool further out, then did 4 different Color KMLâs, and in 15 minutes, I found the pin, buried under 1.5 feet of 30+ years of yard and leaf mulch!! I took it on faith, dug about a foot, and then the metal detector detected metal where it did not previously⌠it was too deep!! Dug 6â and found top of pin!! I forgot to take a picture, but I never would have found it without the RTK Torch plus your modeling tool!!! THANKS!!!
Awesome feedback from real-world use !
Thank you for putting so much effort into this project. I am going to use it to try to find some monuments that are referenced to the original Spanish Land Grant on my property. I donât think that any are surviving after 150+ years but your work will help.
@rfisher71 thatâs going to be fun !
Back in college we had to retrace part of the original PLSS survey when carving out Townships/Ranges from the 1800âs from copies of the actual field notes. Surprisingly, we did find some evidence of original monuments and marks.
