LCD

I just found a 5.7", black and white, 320 x 240 touchscreen display for $15 ([LCD)!

The only problem is that has no driver ic (though the website recommends the MSM6255, SED1330, and HD64646).

Furthermore, I also found a (color?) 3.75 inch touchscreen (res?)([LCD).

I think that these LCD’s would be a great addition to Sparkfun](http://www.primelec.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/5272689/vpcsid/0/SFV/31734/sret/16131821121822121819282221228283214217222287218219236291222221222297226233230233228237236245238251242241#FeaturesTabAnchor)](http://www.primelec.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/3332412/vpcsid/0/SFV/31734/sret/16131821121822121819282221228283214217222287218219236291222221222297226233230233228237232245234249234237)

No driver IC? Is that even possible?

Of course it’s possible!

the smaller screen has a epson controller SCI7500 or S1F7500 (they renamed the part just to mess with us, methinks). It’s a power supply ic, not a driver. There are 4 other bonded die on the back of the board. Looks like those are the driver ic’s, but I have no way of knowing what they are.

Looks like driving the larger screen has been solved here

I have not read the thread to in depth, looks like there are a couple of standardish boards (backlight driver, touchscreen controller and lcd driver) that you can tack on and get that one up and running.
