Hi,
I’m helping a relative make a tower on his property look more interesting. We hope to attach LED strips on each of the four corners and get them to flash, fade, change colour in sync. Can this be achieved with four Milight LED controllers and the 4-zone remote communicating via their built-in 2.4Ghz RF connection? (I ask because home internet will be out of range).
Alternatively, if, as a friend insists, an internet signal is required, would a cell phone’s 3G/4G do the job?
Also, do these work on all brands of LED strip?
Thank you
Dave

That might be able to work, but there could be a lot of cross talk. I would advise against it. There does seem to be a way to link multiple lights to one remote using 'Zones' as described in the datasheet (starting on page 2). However, we haven't tested this feature and we can not support this functionality.

I'm not sure what you mean. Can you please elaborate a bit more?

While this product should work with non-digital RGB/RGBW strips, we only suggest the following:

Please use caution when using other strips.
Hi Brandon,
Thanks for your reply. It seems it can be done. After opening countless Web sites and scouring YouTube I found a Polish video in which someone was controling 4 strips in sync via what appears to be the same equipment.
