I was told Hi,
I couldn’t find a library that had this specific part, but it
looks like it follows the standard op-amp pinout for an 8 pin
device. In the “linear” library that comes with eagle the *741 part
should work fine as a replacement.

Yes, it is a little frustrating that despite there being so many items in all those libraries that we come up immediately with devices for which no library exists.
I have had to design my own Eagle devices about 80% of the time. Actually it is fun. The hard part is trying to find the proper footprint for the SMT devices. THere are a bunch of different JEDEC specifications, so the same 16 pin “SOIC” actually is different. Usually the pads are large enough that it does not really matter, but still, I want it right.
I enjoy the artwork. Unfortunately Eagle is optimized for layout, and is less useful for drafting work. Stuff that would be a snap on my CAD is tedious in Eagle. I usually just do my math and type-in the coordinates rather than try to do it by mouse.
