I hooked up the power from the battery incorrectly in the on board connector. The result being a bad smell and a nonfunctioning battery/charge circuit, no power to the board… When the battery is plugged in no power and no charge light. :oops: There is a tiny component with 5 pins to the left of the charge LED with a new bump in the middle. Does anyone know what this part is and if I could replace it would I be back in business? Thanks.
That is the MAX1555 charge controller IC. Assuming that is your only problem, replacing it would be all that is required. It is on the schematic:
thanks theatrus. I had some difficulty getting the schematic for some reason today. Hopefully this is fixable with a replacement.
