LTC3588-1 Low Output

Hi, My circuit is shown in figure. I can see a maximum of 0.27V at the output, how it is possible. I think there is a problem in either the module or the sensor but when i tested the sensor at arduino, it generated max 5V. How can i understand if there is a problem in module?

Are you supplying a voltage to the VIN pin?

In a circuit I installed before, I connected Vin to supercapacitors. but there was no energy inside the supercapacitors.I think there must be energy to feed the module. If I feed the Vin pin with 9V, can I see the output I want? Of course, but my goal is to get a voltage without any source so I planned to use a supercapacitor instead of a battery.

In order to get energy out of a system you have to put energy in. If you have capacitors, acting as batteries, that have 0V or no electric potential energy then you will get nothing out. So your first observation is correct. In our guide, or blog post, about this product we use a solar panel as an example. The VIN and input line are both connected to the same line that supplies ‘positive’ voltage from the solar panel itself. You could hookup your piezo to the input and VIN and perhaps you may see something other than .27V. I would suggest powering the module with a constant DC source greater than or equal to 5V and you may see some progress. However, our example was for solar panels and we haven’t tried it with piezo so I can’t guarantee that you will see the exact behavior you wish to see.

Firstly, thank you for your answers. I installed the circuit as in figure. I connected supercapacitors and piezo source to Vin. I also connected the 9V battery to Vin so I saw 3.3V at the Vout but When i substracted battery, I observed a rapidly decreasing discharge. The supercapacitors in my hand are at 0.2F, 2.5V. Then, with the battery installed , I constantly flexed the piezo source for almost 10-15 minutes. After removing the battery, I hoped at least 2.5V at the output(because the supercapacitors voltage are 2.5V), but again, I observed a rapid decrease. Do you have a solution suggestion?
