Making video feeds wireless

Please excuse me for being a very very big noob. I am currently doing a project were I need to be able to view my camera from about 300 ft. away. It has to be wireless. I just do not know what to do to make it wireless. I can use wifi so if that helps please tell me how and what to do.

Thanks and sorry if this is a really obvious question

Buy a WiFi enabled IP camera. About USD $150.

Or take an ethernet IP camera and connect it to a WiFi bridge.

Done.

Thank you for that help. I was also wondering if there is a way to do it without wifi. Thanks

What kind of camera do you have?

Where is it located (inside/ outside/ in the weather, etc)

How far does the wireless have to go?

Honestly, get an IP camera and make your life easy. There are other ways, but they’ll cost you more and work not as well.

Camera → KVM over IP → Wired → Wireless → AIR → YOU

IP Camera → AIR → You

Don’t reinvent the wheel

Video is pretty demanding. Most small serial devices and such will have a hard time pushing a solid stream. Get equipment made for it.

Depending on the output, you could also use one of the many wireless video transmitter/receivers available to do it for you - There are a lot of options, most are relatively plug and play if you have an NTSC/PAL output on our camera, and would be okay with viewing it on a TV.

I’m working on a project where I need to send video wireless to a computer for image processing. My setup involves a wireless camera with a receiver. The receiver outputs the video feed to a video to USB adapter which is connected to the computer.

wireless camera > air > receiver > video to USB adapter > computer

This might work for you too.
