I have been having a bunch of fun with a microview but have run into a major issue. I cannot replace the sketch running on it now! I am using a microview purchased several weeks ago along with the Sparkfun programmer for it.
When I upload a new sketch through Arduino IDE 2.1.0 it looks like everything works, the IDE reports that everything is uploaded and the Microview resets as expected, but then it loads up the sketch that was on it before flashing.
I have even tried to flash the bare “BareMinimum” sketch, it does not flash. No errors, programmer looks like its doing its thing, but when the microview resets its the same old sketch that was on before.
I have tried across Linux, Windows 10 and Windows 11 on two machines and a VM, same results across all systems. Programmer reports everything went well, Microview resets… runs the old sketch.
Is there any way to fully blank a microview?
This is my first arduino experience, haven’t been able to find anything on google.
This is what I am trying to place onto the Microview, its the default “BareMinimum”.
void setup() {
// put your setup code here, to run once:
}
void loop() {
// put your main code here, to run repeatedly:
}
The existing sketch on the Microview shows a basic “Gauge Widget” while polling an analog pin.
Here is the detailed output from the upload attempt:

When the Microview resets after the upload the gauge pops up immediately and it keeps polling the analog pin, indicating that the sketch was not actually uploaded.
