Misc questions related to raspberry pi Pico W

Hi,

  1. Do I need a wifi dongle if I want to connect it to keyboard and mouse? I plan to use a HDMI cable to connect my monitor to it.

  2. I need a small camera which can work in low light. Do you have anything here?

  3. What is the accuracy of the ultrasonic sensor (2cm-400cm) at distances above 100 cm? What can it detect? What is the difference between this sensor and SparkFun Distance Sensor - 1.3 Meter, VL53L4CD (Qwiic) - SEN-18993 - SparkFun Electronics?

  4. I would like to use pico W’s blue tooth capability to send an image which it’s camera would capture to a cell phone. I hope this is possible?

Do you have a Pico W or a Zero W?

The Pico W doesn’t have a HDMI port and I don’t know why you’d want to plug a keyboard/mouse into it as it’s not a “computer” that runs a desktop operating system.

1- If you have a Zero W, you’ll need a micro USB to female USB-A cable to access the USB host port on the Zero. That will give you a single USB port to work with. If you need two (keyboard plus mouse) a USB hub can be connected to give more ports OR you could use a wireless keyboard/mouse like one of these and plug the dongle into the USB cable.

4 - That would be possible with both a Pico and Zero, you’d just need to find/write the software necessary to make the transfer happen.

I was thinking of Pico W (the most light version). If it is not a computer per se, how would I program it?

You program it with another computer.
