More than 1 signal layer active!?

What does the following warning message means:

More than 1 signal layer active!

I get it when I try to generate Gerber files.

Thanks

It means you have selected maybe the top and bottom copper layers of your board for a single gerber output. I’m assuming your using Eagle. I would recommend just using the sparkfun cam file (http://www.sparkfun.com/tutorial/Eagle- … rb274x.cam). It sets up all the tabs in the cam processor to create all the necessary gerbers for a 2-layer board.

Thanks for response. I already use the sfe-gerb274x.cam from Sparkfun. Before I never had problem with it. But I do not know what is going on right now.

What does the above mean? How I might have selected the top and bottom copper layers? How do I deselect them? I basically did not change any thing and run the sparkfun’s cam file as it was. Thanks

On each tab in the CAM processor there is a select box on the right hand side with layers selected for that particular output. Just make sure on all the tabs no more than one copper layer (top or bottom) is selected.

It’s easy to do - trust me. Just click your mouse in the wrong spot - I blame it on the cat walking over the keyboard and mouse . . .

anyway - yea, you can get some extra layers selected. I’ve also managed to screw up the SFE cam file and didn’t know it. Again, I blame it on the cat.

Try to reload the right cam file. Just unzip it into the right directory over the old one and you should be good. That should cure all ills.
