SparkFun Timing GNSS Breakout - mosaic-T, receiver serial SN23123810285. The module’s GNSS core crashes (“1st missedHeartBt” in the receiver error log) approximately 18 seconds after every boot of the main firmware, then reboots, eventually stranding the receiver in “Ready for SUF download” mode. Reproduced on three host computers, three cables, and multiple power sources, with and without antenna and µSD card, with no host over-current events. Factory configuration reset (eccf, RxDefault, Boot) did not help. Reflashed official Septentrio firmware 4.15.3 via the upgrade web interface — upgrade succeeded but the crash loop persists. Requesting replacement.
Thanks for posting on the forums. Sorry that the Mosaic-T you had purchased is giving you issues.
I believe you have done enough troubleshooting here. I think it is time to get the board back for evaluation.
If you could fill a return form out we can process it shortly and get the ball rolling:
Hi @Camp ,
This sounds like an issue with the mosaic-T’s clock source. I suspect a replacement board is needed. But, before you send the board back to us, please check the INT-EXT clock source switch is in the INT position. It causes much badness if it is in the EXT position and you don’t have an external 10MHz clock connected. Maybe toggle it a couple of times, set to INT, power cycle and check the log messages one last time.
Thank you,
Paul
