Mosaic X5 RTK base station NTRIP server

Hi all, we recently purchased the Mosaic X5 RTK station. I miscalculated on our use case – we wanted to setup a NTRIP server running onboard the station and connect that to our lab network. The miscalculation is it’s unlikely our security-heavy network will let us connect this…

Is it possible to connect this box to an Ubuntu server and run the NTRIP server on the ubuntu machine using BNC or similar NTRIP caster? I know it’s not using most of the cool/convenient features of the box but it’ll still do the job for us (produce quality RTCM stream that we broadcast etc.).

Thanks in advance!

You could always run the station on a test network first to determine the MAC address and whitelist it for the security-heavy network (if that is an option!)

Sure you can connect it to a PC that is listening/casting…you can interface over ethernet, usb, serial, wifi, etc… see https://docs.sparkfun.com/SparkFun_RTK_mosaic-X5/assets/quick_start_guide-v10.pdf

Sounds great, going to play with that. Thanks!
