How is the value of 330 ohm obtained for the resistor on the breadboard in the tutorial for connecting the MPL3115A2 sensor.

The resistors on SDA and SCL appear to be some form of an attempt at current limiting or something on those lines. I am not entirely sure why they are there as they don’t really do anything as far as I know. The MPL3115A2 has pull-up resistors on the board so as long as you power it with 3.3V (and don’t have I2C devices running at different logic levels like 5V on the same I2C Bus) you should not need those resistors. We’re going to update that tutorial to remove those from the diagram to avoid confusion in the future.
