i am using sam7-p64.it had been working fine untill today, i powered up the board with usb cable as i normally do. but the samba didnot boot and the processor chip started overheating. the regulator is working fine and giving 3.3V. if my board defect
“my boards worked but now stopped” is not very informative, so we have to speculate what you did with it
LPCs are sensitive to electrostatic shock as every other CMOS devices.
or did you applied overvoltage to the microcontroller pins by connecting some circuit to it?
increased power consumption and overheating is clear sign that you have burned something, but don’t worry it’s normal to burn many boards during the development phase (I can’t count how many I have burned myself)

well, as i have burnt my first board what will you advice me to do so that same is not repeated again, because i have limited time and money
you can try to check with oscilloscope where is the fault - if the LPC oscillator is working and so on, when you locate the problem just replace the burned component
