Myoware EMG Sensor unable to detect a signal

Hi,

I bought the Myoware muscle sensor to record EMG readings and since this is my first time using this product, I have a few problems that I am unable to solve. I am trying to get EMG signals from the throat. I connected the sensor electrode cable to the area under my chin but the red LED doesn’t flash when I move my mouth or say a word. It however does flash when i connect it to a larger muscle such as the bicep or on the arm. Could you please let me know what I can do for it to detect a signal from under the chin?

All the available tutorials featuring the signal only show how to read data from big muscles like the biceps. Regarding small muscles, there are not many guidelines. Maybe you can get some clues from the following materials:
