I have a quiz game show I have written in python and use in my classroom, I want to add a wireless button(s) feature for my app. I look all over the intranet but see nothing that will fit my needs. I just need multiple buttons that when one of them is pressed it notifies the python application that a button was pressed and who pressed it(player1, players). I don’t mind building the buttons but not quite sure what I need to do this. also not sure if I need to use Bluetooth or wireless. please help or point me in the right direction. thanks way in advance
Maybe use bluetooth keyboards? Assign each button a unique keyboard character and have your program respond when a key is pressed.
these kids get aggressive sometimes, the keyboard won’t last long, I just need to know what I would need to build just a button .
I don’t mean handing out keyboards, I mean use the guts of a keyboard to build the game show ringer. The actual button that they mash could be something sturdy like what’s used on [arcade cabinets or slot machines.](Pushbuttons & Push Buttons - SuzoHapp)
ahh, I get ya now. didn’t think of doing that. simple solution, I happen to have an old Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse. that would at least give me one button.
even better and smaller , a wireless keypad , something like this …
