Need help for chosing 48vdc, 20A relay to be used with Arduino

Hi all,

I’m looking for a relay that will be used in an induction system. The power supply provides 48vdc with 17.5 A (600w) to an induction coil board. It need to be controlled by my Arduino Uno.

Can’t seem to find a relay that will do the trick. Any suggestion?

I have a Beefcake relay kit (2.0) but relay goes to 28vdc 20A… any chance this relay can be swapped with one that will handle 48vdc?

Please le me know if you have any suggestions.

Thank you

I would not add another kind of relay to the beefcake as it was specifically designed for the relay it comes with.

As for locating a 48VDC @ 17.5A, that might be something Digikey might be able to source for you. If not, Ebay would work, though, you never really know what you will get there.

Good luck.

It’s little expensive and has a minimum input of 4 volts but I think something like this would work:

While looking for something else, I came across these more affordable SSRs:
