Need some help with Bluetooth Spy device!

I am trying to build a spy communication device consisting mainly of a Bluetooth transmitter and a tiny pushbutton, all hidden inside a Marker Pen. The button will be placed so it can be pressed without anyone taking notice, letting me send secret messages without anyone knowing!

The transmitter will supposedly tell the Android Mobile in my pocket whether the button is currently pushed or not and nothing more (As simple as it gets, right?). Since I am a total noob when it comes to electronics and had a really hard time passing the electronic classes during my Computer Since degree , my question is: How can this be achieved?

I am thinking of using the “BlueSMIRF Gold” component since it will fit inside the Pen. An Aurdino board normally used with the BlueSMIRF will not fit however so I have no clue how to create the interface between the press button and the BlueSMIRF.

Can someone please provide instructions as this would make me really  happy! What If I just connect the pushbutton along with correct Voltage (I think 5v?) the to Rx and TX inputs; will it work?

get your design ironed out and working before you go for miniaturization. only use components that are available in a satisfactorily small footprint and prototype it with dev boards then spin a custom board for your final build - or get creative and solder components directly together being sure to avoid shorting anything to a metal pen body…

For a uC you should look at something like the ATTiny. http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/produc … cts_id=211
