New ST Micro MEMS Gyro

A breakout for the LISY300AL would be good!

With the chip attached is always better.

My sales rep claims that dev. boards from ST will be available by the end of the year. The other issue was having to buy in whole reels (~2500 parts). If SparkFun finds a source for partial reels, I’d be more than happy to hear about it.

(that being said, I’d also love breakout boards for these)

I’d like to toss in my vote for this product as well.

Digi-Key claims to have some on-hand. (Though at five times the price the ST press release quotes.)

oh, they do.

Thanks for the heads up. One-sie two-sie prices are always way more expensive. I’d be a little worried that the cost doesnt drop very dramatically from the 100 cost to the 5000 cost, though at $7/8 per unit its still the cheapest gyro around (so far as I know).
