I got a brand-new DAN-F10N breakout board - but cannot get any data from it.
It is connected to a Windows computer, and recognised as CH340 chip on COM7.
However - u-center 2 software cannot find a bitrate to “talk” to it, neither I can do manually.
In addition - no LEDs seem to light up when the board is connected.
I’ve checked the software and USB by connecting a similar board with other UBLOX chip - it was recognised right away and worked.
Please advise - are there any bridges etc to make the board work with USB?
I haven’t used this particular gps so i don’t know if there are anything you need to do to get data flowing. Usually they just work. Sounds like you might have a dud?
Hi Dmitry - Welcome! There is a power LED on the board that should illuminate when connected. If that’s not turning on, double check that other devices (your phone, etc) correctly connect over the USB C cable you are using and work on the computer port you’re connecting to.
Hello and thanks for a quick response.
I did some measurements and found that either the power stabiliser U3 is faulty - since with present Vin and EN the 3.3 V line shows 0.11 V - or the line itself is pulled down by the faulty part.
This is pretty much aligned with what I see on the computer - it sees CH340 which is powered by 5V, but cannot communicate with the GPS module behind it.
