Hello everyone,
I hope this message finds you well. I have been running an NTRIP base station with great results, and now I’m looking to add a radio module to the mix. At my workplace, we have Trimble R12is and a TSC5, and I was wondering if it would be possible to configure the radios to communicate with each other.
The TSC5 allows for multiple configurations, such as the NTRIP that works great. In short, what I’m trying to achieve is when I’m in close range of the base, I will use radio, and then when I’m further away, I will switch to NTRIP.
Does anyone have experience with this or have any advice on how to set it up? I would greatly appreciate any help or guidance you can provide.
Thank you all in advance!
Thank for the reply, Yes on the Trimble side of things yes I will reach out to them. I should have been a little more clear on what I was asking. we have the zed f9p gnss refence station and the sik v3 radio (need to connect) but how do I adjust the setting or is it even possible? or should i be looking at other options. trimble offers external radios that can be pluged in that we have used https://geospatial.trimble.com/products … -450l-450h. you can get other brand for much cheaper $500-600 Cad would this be the beter option of connecting to the zed
Thank you!
I don’t know that the radios would be compatible with the Trimble hardware. You’d need to ask Trimble but they may not know either. You might just have to try it on your own and see but I have a feeling the radios may run on the same frequency band but probably won’t communicate with one another
Looks like I will have to some experimenting. I agree on the that they may not communicate as the initial process of connecting to the base (trimble) requires Bluetooth then switch’s to the radio. Hence why I was seeing if you could have the base (ntrip caster radio) set up as pre configured base more like the ntrip configuration allowing for immediate surveying over radio .
thank you!
