I have bought a 16x2 character LCD-Yellow on Blue.
On bright light I can very bad read thoses characters.
Have you a project for a O-LED Alphanumeric module or a other
Display for bright light?
If possible with character height >9mm.
I use reflective LCD displays from PowerTip. They work very well in bright sunlight - the brighter the better! They are also very cheap.

does some one actually make OLED character mode displays?
Perhaps his module displays characters on a graphic OLED display.

I have found that OLED displays are much worse in bright light than reflective LCD displays. I have had very good results with black on white LCD’s.
