OpenOCD and Amontec USBKey-Tiny with PXA320 (on Mac OS X)?

Hi. Will it be possible for me to use the Amontec USBKey-Tiny and OpenOCD to at least write the NAND flash via a PXA320? It’s got an ARM core (version 5TE, whatever that is).

I’m a bit concerned that, although the USBKey-Tiny has an FTDI chip on it (which has Mac OS X drivers), they’ve modified the vendor ID and so the normal drivers won’t work on Mac OS X (they provide drivers on Windows & Linux).

The board is a Sophia Systems Sandate III PXA320 development board, if that makes any difference. It does appear to have a standard 20-pin JTAG connector on it.

Thanks!

Hello Rick,

no, this wont be possible in the forseeable future. I tried to contact Marvell to ask for datasheets, but they wouldn’t even let me sign an NDA (an open source project can’t do that, I’ve been told). There’s basically no information on Marvell products available otherwise.

ARMv5TE is the ARM architecture version, which defines the programmer’s model and instruction set.

Regards,

Dominic

Well, let’s say someone had the data sheets, what information would you need?
