OpenScale gives wrong, random readings

Hello,

I am currently working in a team for a project that uses OpenScale with a generic balance attached to it through the cables. We wrote a controller software in Python using PySerial to get the readings and send them to a server.

However, when I step on the scale (and one of my team members steps on his own similar one) it gives weird random readings, completely inaccurate. When I step off it continues to give readings that continue to increase and decrease randomly. I have tried to find a pattern to it but there is none, revised the code but there seem to be no bugs. Attached is a sample of the crazy random readings.

By the way, the OpenScale board is connected to a Raspberry Pi 3B via USB. I tried connecting mine via the pins of the Raspberry but for some reason it did not work (maybe it’s related?). Apparently for my teammate connecting to the pins works just fine.

Can you supply detailed photos showing how your load cells are connected to the openscale and how you have them mounted to your apparatus?
