On the PCA9306 Level Translator Breakout (BOB-10403), what package is the PCA9306 in? Eagle says PSOP-8. Never heard of that package nor does digikey carry that package. Thanks.
I just found out the hard way that the Eagle part PSOP-8 is not pin compatible with the units you buy at newark in the DCUR housing.
Only in the PSOP-8 packaging the VREF1 pins are mixed up
PSOP-8 eagle will show
1=VREF1, 2=SCL1, 3=SDA1, 4=GND
The PCA9306DCUR
1=GND, 2=VREF1, 3=SCL1, 4=SDA1
Pin 5-8 are connected identical.
So if you use the eagle part in a PCB design with the DCUR housing it will burn off your board.
Not sure what the thinking was behind the pin mixing at TI when they introduced the PSOP-8 package

Examining the NXP datasheet, the dimensions on the Sparkfun part seems to be compatible with VSSOP8 case specifications.
