PCB footprint SD/MMC Socket from Sparkfun, questions.

Hello guys,

I’ve just ordered some of this:

http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/produc … cts_id=136

And i wonder how the footprint in the SparkFun.lbr matches with the real socket.

Checking out the footprint in the library, it has 4 mounting pads instead 3, like the SparkFun breakout board here http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/produc … cts_id=204 .

The question is, despite the mounting pads, if it is not a 100% footprint matched, are the other pins (in the SparkFun library) in its right place? (CardDetec, WriteProtection, etc?)

I started a project and i don’t want to manufacture a wrong PCB.

Thanks in advance.

A lesson learned from experience: wait until you have the actual part, and then check it against a 1:1 scale print-out of your footprint.

Eagle libraries are notorious for errors, always check them before use.
