PCB mounted plugs for QWIIC?

I’ve seen viewtopic.php?f=141&t=55432&p=224541&hi … or#p224541 and looked at the available connectors, but it looks like on the “cable” side, there is only a crimp-on option. Is that correct? Are there any available PCB mounted plugs compatible with qwiic?

What I was hoping to do is create a small PCB (20X72mm to go into a DIN rail carrier) with what is normally the “cable” connector attached that I could then plug qwiic devices into. Basically I’m looking for a mechanical support for the boards and simplifying the wiring to create a column of 4 cards vertically sticking up from the carrier PCB.

I’m assuming that the daisy-chaining with cables is really just parallel bus connections and this idea would actually work.

Are you looking for something like these?

Yes, qwiic/i2c cabling allows for daisy-chaining multiple devices on the same bus

No, I’m looking for the things on the end of https://www.sparkfun.com/products/14428 that can be mounted on a PCB. Everything I’ve been able to find seems to be crimped. I don’t know enough to know whether or not it’s possible to crimp onto e.g. header pins.

As far as the daisy chaining is concerned, yes I know the boards can be daisy chained, but my question is about my assumption, i.e. that the circuit is something like the top line, and that it is also possible to connect like the bottom:

I don’t think anyone makes a PCB mountable mating plug for a Qwiic socket unfortunately.

At least I’ve never seen one anyway.

Thanks. That’s what I was afraid of based on my searches. I’m assuming you are way more familiar with available connectors than I am so it’s good to have that confirmation, even if it’s not the answer I was hoping for.
