Anyway to know which leg of the 3 sided end of the photo interrupter goes where?

I can’t get mine to work, and I’m wondering if I mixed up the legs on the 3 sided end. I’ve also cut them short now and hope to be able to remove and replace the sensor, but how can I tell which leg goes where now?

It need to be mounted on the printed-side of the PCB

Is the resistor in-place as well?

This was the issue. I had it soldered on wrong side of the board. Thanks for the help.
